The first Vaan R4 is coming!

We are very much looking forward to the first Vaan R4 touching the water. And that moment is getting ever closer!

R4 NUMBER 1 ABOUT TO START PRODUCTION
The past few months were all about detailed engineering, hull shape optimization, dagger board options, electronics systems etc. On August 1st the cutting of the aluminium will start and then the demo assembly will begin. You are welcome to come and have a look at the assembly once it has started. Just let us know.

PRE-ORDERS
In the coming two years we will build only a limited number of yachts; quality over quantity. This is why we introduced the pre-order system and we are happy to announce that the first pre-orders have already been placed, exceeding our expectations. SPREADING THE MESSAGE OF SUSTAINABLE YACHTING
The introduction of the R4, the first luxury catamaran made of circular materials, has not gone unnoticed. Possibly you have come across an article in magazines like Yacht Germany, Yachting World, Zeilen or in Japanese sailing magazine Kazi. We have also been invited to speak at multiple conferences and boat shows about this topic.

VAAN JOINS ALUMINIUM STEWARDSHIP INITIATIVE
Vaan wants to ensure that sustainability and human rights principles are embedded in the production, use and recycling of our products. Therefore, we are proud to announce that Vaan has joined the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative(ASI).

ASI is a global, multi-stakeholder, non-profit standards setting and certification organization. Other members are among others: Audi, Apple, BMW, Tetra Pak, Nespresso and of course our aluminium partner Hydro. We are proud to be part of this initiative and contribute to a more sustainable aluminium value chain.
