Katamaran.com visited the Vaan R5 at the Multihull Boat Show in La Grande Motte and made this clear and comprehensive video tour.

“Join us on a tour of the Vaan R5 at the International Multihull Show in La Grande Motte, France. This is the 2nd electric aluminium catamaran in the range from the Dutch yard and has some interesting design details. . The R5 is the bigger sister to the R4 is the smallest of the Vaan range at 49ft (14.95m).

Her hulls are 60% made from recycled aluminium and where possible Vaan have used circular materials, for example the recycled fabrics and cork decks. She was nominated for the 2025 European Yacht of the Year [and won Multihull of the Year 2024], a luxury platform to explore the distant places and faraway islands.”
